The Association of Certified Background Investigators, Inc. was established in Chantilly, Virginia on October 1, 2001. "ACBI" was Chartered and Incorporated on March 7, 2003. "ACBI" is a Non-Profit organization and tax exempt under Article 501-C6 of the Federal Tax Code. "ACBI" is recognized by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management as an organization representing Federal Contract Background Investigators conducting National Security Background Investigations.
ACCESS TO THE MEMBERS ONLY AREA
Once you have been accepted as a member of the Association of Certified Background Investigators, Inc., the Web Site Manager of the organization will be in touch with you by U.S. Mail with your authorization to access the MEMBERS ONLY AREA. You will be issued a Username and Password. If you are having difficulties accessing this ACBI Members Only Area after you have been authorized to do so, please contact the for further assistance.
To become a member of ACBI you need to fill out the membership form on line. Once completed, it can be printed, signed by the applicant and mailed to the Secretary with a Check or Money Order, for your dues. You may also order lapel pins using the same form. Membership runs from January thru December. If you join on or after October 1st, your dues will be credited to include the following year.
